We are pleased to announce that Experience Tasmania are one of six companies who have been successful in acquiring a permit to collect visitors from Macquarie Wharf while they are visiting Tasmania on their cruise ship tours.

A fabulous new cruise ship terminal now resides on Macquarie Wharf [shed] No.2. The redevelopment said to have cost $7 million is hoped to boost ship visits.

With our high standards and range of services Experience Tasmania met all the required selection criteria and are now one of a selected few who can operate services outside the new terminal.

We welcome all cruise ship visitors to Hobart, our beautiful, historic, harbour city. To maximize the limited time in port, we have designed tours especially for cruise ship visitors, or bookings can be made from our half or full day tour schedule. Get an intimate knowledge of Hobart on our historic city tour, or be up close and personal with Australian animals, including Tasmanian devils, kangaroos and koalas on our Tasmanian Devil and Richmond tour.

The first of the cruise ships arrived on the 23rd October and from now until the 1st April 2014 there will be a total of 40 cruise ships visiting our state! For a complete list of the cruise ship schedule and list of tours operated for each of these please click here.

Best wishes,
The friendly Experience Tasmania team
